Can my husband/boyfriend/manfriend come?

Emphatically, NO. You would be astonished to read the amount of requests we get for ladies to bring their male counterparts, and we don't know how else to say this: it is a women's mountain bike festival....emphasis on WOMEN'S. There will be a handful of fella's at the festival who work for our vendors, sponsors, local bike shops, and event partners. They are under strict orders to not mess with our lady shred mojo and will be behaving themselves accordingly.

What are my onsite camping & lodging options?

ONSITE CAMPING Camping at Roam Bike Fest is $60 and is good for two festival pass holders. Sites are chosen first come, first served. Check-in starts 4PM Thursday 5/10 Check-out by 11AM Monday 5/14 All sites are primitive (ie no electricity or showers, but we do have restrooms!). Please treat this camping experience like you would any other, bring your own gear, food, water containers, and party supplies and be prepared for rain. The nearest store is about 20 minutes away. Dinner will be provided Saturday night, and food trucks will be at the festival Fri-Sun - food truck schedule will be announced soon! TRAILERS/RVS We have a limited number of primitive (i.e. you will be parked in a field) Trailer & RV spaces available. Pricing and check-in/check-out times are the same as camping. Please note: there will be NO electricity, water hookups, or dumping stations onsite. Plan accordingly. OFFSITE A number of hotels, VRBOs, Airbnbs, and offsite camping options are available nearby. We reccomend staying in or around Brevard or Hendersonville NC (Asheville is nearly an hour away). The event address is: REEB Ranch 315 Shoals Falls Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28739

Do I need to bring my own bike?

We hope you plan to demo (test ride) bikes! We will have free demo bikes available for festival pass holders from: Specialized Liv Cycling Rocky Mountain Ibis Cycles +more DRIVING If you are driving to the festival, we reccomend bringing your bike even if you are planning to demo...we cannot guarentee availability of demo bikes in your size. FLYING If you are flying to the festival, we do not reccomend flying with your bike. Most ladies who fly to the festival plan to demo bikes as they are available. If you are the "have a backup plan" type, there are many high-end rentals available at local Brevard bike shops- RESERVE IN ADVANCE as they are typically all rented out by Saturday. BIKE RETNALS Sycamore Cycles (Specialized, Yeti, Norco, Salsa) The Hub & Pisgah Tavern (Liv, Giant, Juliana, Santa Cruz, Pivot) Squatch Bikes (Intense, Ibis)

Are there skills clinics at the festival?

Nope! We are here to ride...ride some more...and then go ride our bikes again. We fully support skills clinics and think everyone should go to one - but we also believe skills clinics should be done over the course of several days with a ton of practice...this would interfere with the amount of joyous, stress-free ride time that you are going to have at Roam Bike Fest. There WILL be technical (i.e. mechanical) clinics provided by professional female SRAM mechanics in addition to many other workshops, presentations, and talks during the festival.

Is it weird if I sign up by myself?

Not at all! About 30% of our festival attendees come solo. We are pretty sure you'll have about a gajillion new friends by the end of the weekend.

How many women are coming to the festival?

We expect roughly 200-300 ladies to join our weekend of shred!

How old/young do I need to be to participate?

We had an age range of 21-67 at last year's festival with an average age of 46. Due to our alcohol licsense and liability requirements, regular festival pass holders must be 21 to register unless by special permission from festival organizers (see below.) SPECIAL UNDER-21 PASS Those aged 10-20 are eligible for a *special pass*, and anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. Please contact festival organizers to register for this Under-21 festival pass.

How does transportation work?

Participants are responsible for getting themselves to/from the festival site. We will have shuttles running from the festival site to several trailheads at Dupont State Forest from 9AM-3PM Fri, Sat, & Sun.

Where is the festival held?

Roam Bike Fest East will be held at REEB Ranch in Hendersonville (very close to Brevard!) North Carolina. REEB Ranch 315 Shoals Falls Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28739 The festival will run from 9AM Friday, May 11 to 4PM Sunday, May 13

What are my food options at the festival?

Food trucks & a coffee cart will be available at the festival Friday-Sunday. ALL festival pass holders are encouraged to join us for a FREE dinner (taco extravaganza!) Saturday night. The nearest food store (a corner shop) is 9 minutes away, with a regular grocery store being a 20 minute drive into Brevard.

I'm new to mountain biking...should I come to Roam Bike Fest?

Heck yeah! We encourage all festival goers to have at least a few months of mountain biking under your belt, but there are several beginner-friendly trails in the area and we will have a number of beginner-friendly group rides throughout the weekend. Please note, there are NO skills clinics at this event, but there will be several hundred women here to support and encourage you!

If I am an expert rider, should I attend?

Hell yes! If you don't already know how gloriously fun Dupont State Forest (and nearby Pisgah National Forest) are to ride...you NEED to come ride with us! We've had (and will have) National Champions, World Champions, professional riders, and everything leading up to that level of awesome join the festival fun. We promise you won't run out of epic trails to ride and challenge yourself on.

It's Mothers Day weekend....can I bring my kids?

We encourage you to enjoy a mother-daughter weekend at the festival and have a *Special Under-21 Pass* for those between the ages of 10-20. The little fellas and girls under 10 will need to stay home. Please contact festival organizer's to request a *Special Under-21 Pass*
